What is a logbook loan?
If you have a car and there is a demand for money, take advantage of the opportunity to get the desired amount at MOGO using your car as a guarantee.
You can ask for a logbook loan from 100,000 KES up to a maximum of 1,500,000 KES with a repayment period of up to 60 months. After you get money, you also continue to drive your car.
What is the maximum loan amount & repayment term?
You can apply for a car logbook loan in Kenya for up to 1,500,000 KES with a maximum repayment period of up to 60 months.
How do I pay a monthly installment?
You are obliged to pay monthly installments in accordance with the repayment plan attached to your loan contract. To make it easier for you, you will receive an text message message as a reminder of any upcoming payment.
How do I get a logbook loan?
You will need these documents:

- • MPESA statement
- • Official payslip (if employed)
- • Driver’s license
- • Personal ID or passport
- • KRA PIN
- • You have a car and want a loan
- • Fill out an online application or come to a mogo branch
- • Preliminary loan offer will be made in 15 minutes

Is there a fee for assessing the value of a car?
Assessment of the car's value is free of charge.

Will Mogo require proof of my income?
When applying for a logbook loan, Mogo will ask you to submit 6 months of bank statements or other relevant documents proving the source and amount of income.

How is car value assessed?
Mogo uses internal valuers to evaluate the value of the car. In addition we use a modern international assessment model with a huge database, which provides an accurate valuation of each car.
Is compulsory auto insurance required?
Under the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act Kenya, all the vehicles operating in public places should have car insurance cover with third party car insurance cover. It means that a car insurance policy must cover the third party in case of any accident.
When will the logbook be transferred to me?
The logbook will be jointly registered in your and Mogo Kenya name. After full repayment of your contract, you will be contacted by Mogo employee to discharge the logbook to your name

What are the conditions to apply for a logbook loan?
When applying, you should own a car & it should also be registered on your behalf. Also, it is necessary that all obligations under this car are settled towards the appropriate institutions. In order to approve your application, we will assess your creditworthiness. For this purpose, you must provide us with complete and credible information.
When will I become a car owner?
The logbook will be jointly registered in your and Mogo Kenya name. After full repayment of your contract, you will be contacted by Mogo employee to discharge the logbook to your name.
What happens in the event of an accident or theft of a car?
In the event of an accident or theft, you are obliged to notify relevant authorities, your insurance company and Mogo Kenya LTD.
Can the car be used outside of Kenya?
It is not allowed to use a car outside of Kenya if the logbook is in Mogo name.
What happens if I can not pay monthly payment on time?
